Dr. Joseph Erpelding – M.D.

Orthopedic Surgeon

Joseph Erpelding, M.D., grew up in Great Falls, Montana, and has dedicated more than 20 years to private practice in Billings, Montana. He earned his undergraduate degree from the U.S Military Academy, West Point. He is a graduate of the WAMI program at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed his surgical internship and residency at the Madigan Army Medical Center. Dr. Erpelding retired from the U.S Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. During his 23 years of service he served as the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program Director, Orthopedic Surgeon for Joint Special Operations Command and remains a member of the U.S Army Flight Surgeon’s Association. Additionally, he is a recipient of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff’s Award for Excellence in Military Medicine/Research and the U.S Army Surgeon General’s Award for Excellence in Medicine. Dr Erpelding has served as the Chief of Orthopedic Department at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings and as President and Executive Director of the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons as well as the Board of Councilors for the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Dr. Donald Ericksen – M.D.

Orthopedic Surgeon

Donald Ericksen, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has practiced in Montana for over twenty years. He has provided treatment and surgery for a wide range of orthopedic injuries and conditions. His practice has included sports medicine, joint replacement, fracture care and reconstructions of the knee, shoulder as well as foot and ankle. Dr. Ericksen completed medical school at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle. His post graduate training included an internship in general surgery at Loyola University in Chicago, residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Washington and an advanced fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Dr. Daniel Hanesworth – M.D.

Orthopedic Surgeon, Sports Medicine

Dr. Hanesworth is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 25 years of experience specializing in management of musculoskeletal injuries throughout the entire body. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Harvey Mudd College in 1987, followed by a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington in 1992. He completed his orthopedic internship and residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1992 to 1997. He achieved board certification in orthopedic surgery in 1999 and obtained additional certification in orthopedic sports medicine in 2007. He has special interests in sports related knee and shoulder injuries, and adult knee reconstruction. He is currently licensed to practice medicine in Montana, Washington, and Alaska. Since 2018, he has served as an Approved Medical Examiner for the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. He is available for Independent Medical Evaluations, impairment ratings, and record/peer reviews.

Dr. David J. Hewitt – M.D., M.P.H.,D.A.B.T

Occupational & Preventative Medicine, Toxicology

Dr. Hewitt is board certified in occupational medicine, general preventative medicine, and toxicology with over 25 years of consulting experience. As an occupational medicine physician he has training and expertise in treating work-related injuries and illnesses, musculoskeletal injuries, and providing case management for facilitation of early return to work for injured workers. Due to his background as both a private and public health consultant in environmental epidemiology and toxicology, he has unique expertise in assessing health claims related to biological and chemical exposures.

Dr. Stasia Muhlner, M.D., M.P.H.

Occupational Medicine

Dr. Muhlner is board-certified in occupational medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. She completed occupational medicine residency at Harvard University in 2011, receiving training in public health, environmental health, and workplace injuries, illnesses and exposures. She was assistant chief and Mission Bay site chief for the occupational medicine department at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco, where she also served as a clinical instructor for UCSF occupational medicine residents and Kaiser Permanente internal medicine residents.  She completed medical school at Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.  Dr. Muhlner currently practices at NorthBay Occupational Health and as a medical director for Tahoe Forest Occupational Health, and holds current licensure in Montana and California. She is experienced in occupational and environmental medicine and workplace injury care and is available to perform impairment ratings and record review impairment ratings.

Dr. Albert D. Olszewski, M.D.

Orthopedic Surgeon

Albert Olszewski, M.D. was born and raised in Great Falls, MT and attended Carroll College followed by the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery and Orthopedic Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.  In 1995 he completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr Olszewski then served in the Air Force and held the positions of Flight Surgeon, Chief of Flight, Training Officer, Orthopedic Surgeon for Mobile Surgical Field Team and Teaching Chief of Staff for the Department of Orthopedics at Lackland AFB. Dr. Olszewski has been in private practice as an Orthopedic Surgeon at Flathead Valley Orthopedics for over 20 years. He was a scientific coordinator for the Montana Orthopedic Society and a clinical consultant for Stryker Orthopedics. In addition, he has served on the Advisory Board for The Doctors Company. Dr. Olszewski is a healthcare policy expert and advocate.

Dr. Royce G. Pyette – M.D.

Occupational Medicine, Sports Medicine

Royce G. Pyette, M.D., graduated from Montana State University before attending the University of Washington Medical School. He completed specialty training at the University of Utah and Family and Preventive Medicine Program where he served as chief resident. He was employed at Bridger Orthopedic and Sports Medicine in Bozeman, Montana, from 2002-2013 where his practice included Sports Medicine, Orthopedic Surgical Assisting, Spinal Care and Occupational Medicine. Dr Pyette has been a U.S Ski and Snowboard Team Physician since 2001 and is the Medical Director for an International Mountain Guiding Company. Dr. Pyette is available to perform Impairment Rating record reviews and closing exams.

Dr. Daniel Rodriguez – M.D.

Neurology

Daniel Rodriguez, M.D., is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and the Louisiana State University School of Medicine Residency Program. He completed his fellowship training at the Department of Neurology, Washington School of Medicine in St Louis, Missouri, in Cerebrovascular Disease. He worked as a staff Neurologist at Billings Clinic and is employed as a Staff Neurologist at the Montana VA Health Care System. Dr. Rodriguez is able to take on all types of general Neurology cases including traumatic brain injury, nerve trauma, amputations, migraines, and memory loss.

Dr. Raymond Wright – M.D.

Emergency Medicine

Dr. Wright is an Emergency Medicine specialist with over 25 years of experience. He holds degrees from Penn State University, and Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a dedicated Emergency Medicine residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He has broad clinical experience in diagnosing and treating acute medical conditions in patients of all ages, in a variety of urban and rural settings, including diagnoses involving whiplash, mild TBI, pulmonology, internal medicine and medication review.  Areas of special interest include major and minor trauma, critical care, cardiology, toxicology, infectious disease, and wound management. Dr. Wright also has extensive leadership experience as a chief resident, department chair, and chief of medical staff. He is available for independent medical evaluation record reviews, causation analysis, expert testimony, and medical malpractice cases.

Dr. Natalie Dong – Ph.D., ABPP

Rehabilitation Psychologist

Dr. Natalie Dong is a board-certified rehabilitation psychologist with over 20 years of experience in rehabilitation neuropsychology. She retired from the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), where she served as Regional TBI Clinical Program Manager for the Pacific Northwest, Deputy Chief of Psychology at VHA Puget Sound, and Director of the Polytrauma Program. Dr. Dong earned her doctorate from Fuller’s Graduate School of Psychology in California, completed her pre-doctoral internship at the VHA Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Clinic, and her post-doctoral fellowship at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Dong has was a board member and officer for the American Board of Rehabilitation Psychology and a member-at-large for the American Psychological Association (APA) Division of Rehabilitation Psychology Executive Committee. She is a fellow of the APA Society for Clinical Neuropsychology and the APA Division of Rehabilitation Psychology. She was awarded the Division of Rehabilitation Psychology Lifetime Practice Excellence Award. Dr. Dong provides neuropsychological and psychological assessments, Independent Medical Evaluations, and record reviews. She is licensed in Montana and Washington, with expertise in TBI, cognitive impairment, PTSD, depression, and anxiety.
